Pyaz tamatar ki sabzi is a very famous dish of Rajasthan. A little sweet, a little tangy and spicy Tomato bhaji or pyaz tamatar ki sabji very easy to make and tasty too,

Heat an oil in a pan on medium flame add mustard seed, cumin seed and cook it for a few seconds.

Add green chilli, onion and saute it 3-4 minutes, then add tomato and again cook it for 4 minutes on low flame till the tomato get little soft.

After 4 minutes add chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and cook it for a few minutes.

Now add garam masala powder, jaggery and lastly add tamarind juice and cover a pan and cook it 3-4 minutes.

Now switch off the gas flame. and take it in a bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves and serve a hot.

Ingredients

  • 2 Onion medium size chopped
  • 3 Tomato medium size chopped
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/3 tbsp Hing
  • 1/3 tbsp Cumin seed
  • 1/3 tbsp Mustard seed
  • 1/3 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Red chilli powder
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 1/3 tbsp Cumin powder
  • 1/3 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1/3 tbsp Garam masala powder
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind juice

Notes

Fry onion & tomato with all spices until it gets red.
