This moong dal pakoda is easy to cook with less time with regular Indian spices, and it is very soft and tasty, first, you can soak the moong lentils overnight or for 3-4 hours and then grind it in mixie-jar and mix the spices in moon lentils then deep- fry it in oil. You can serve the pakoda with coriander chutney, tamarind chutney or with tomato ketchup in the evening tea.
- Split skinless green gram (moong dal) soaked 1 cup
- Green chillies 2-3
- Ginger- garlic paste 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
To make the pakoda batter, put split green gram in mixer jar, add green chillies, asafoetida and salt and grind into a coarse paste. Add a little water if required.
Transfer the batter into a mixing bowl, add ginger-garlic paste, salt, black- pepper and coriander leaves and mix it well.
Heat a oil in a pan on medium flame, using your finger drop small amounts of batter in hot oil and deep-fry till crisp and golden.
Drain on absorbent paper.
Arrange them on a serving plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
