Chilli Chicken

Chilli Chicken is a popular Indo-Chinese recipe that you can easily prepare in your home. It’s a mouth-watering chicken recipe that’s cooked using Indian vegetables and Chinese flavours. Many people make this dish with gravy or dry as well and it’s best suited for occasions and party as a starter dish, here I used bone chicken pieces Chilli Chicken prepared with boneless chicken but I prepared this dish with bone chicken pieces.

It’s a delicious mouth-watering recipe that chicken marinated in egg, cornflour, dark soya sauce, and salt for up to 10 minutes.

Once the chicken is marinated well, the pieces are deep-fried and then cooked in several veggies, you can also enjoy these deep-fried chicken pieces as a snack.

This appetizer recipe is best paired with Hakka noodles and fried rice, So try this delicious dish at your home.

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken 400 gm
  • Egg – 2
  • Corn flour – 2 tbsp
  • Capsicum – 1/2
  • Dark soya sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Green Chilli sauce -1 tbsp
  • Onion – 4 medium sizes ( roughly chopped )
  • Garlic – 10-12 ( finely chopped )
  • Ginger – 2 inches ( finely chopped )
  • Green Chilli – 2 tbsp slice
  • Black-pepper – 1/3 tsp
  • Salt as a taste

INSTRUCTION

How to make Chilli Chicken

To prepare this delicious chicken recipe, combine chicken pieces, eggs, 1tbsp of corn-flour, and 1 tbsp of soya sauce in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients properly, Once done keep aside to set for 10 mins.

Chilli Chicken - Marinate

Turn on the flame and heat out in a pan, gently put the chicken pieces into the heating oil on medium flame, keep flipping in between fry it till it turns golden brown. Once it fried properly take out the pieces on the kitchen towel and keep it aside.

Turn on the flame again and heat a pan, add little oil and let it heat, add ginger, garlic, and green chilli, and fry it for a few seconds on medium flame.

Chilli Chicken - onion Fry

Add capsicum, onion, black pepper powder, salt and fry it for a few seconds, then add all the sauces 1tbsp of soya sauce and green chilli sauce to the pan mix it well.

Meanwhile, add 3-4 tbsp of water in cornflour and mix it, put it in fried ingredient then add the fried chicken pieces stir it well.

Cook the chicken with all ingredients for few minutes on low flame turn off the flame and garnish with sliced green chilli.

Chilli Chicken is ready now, take it out in a serving plate and serve a hot.

  • Meanwhile, add 3-4 tbsp of water in cornflour and mix it, Add cornflour and mix it well add 3-4 tbsp of normal water stir it then add the fried chicken pieces mix it.
  • Cook the chicken with all ingredients for few minutes on low flame turn off the flame and garnish with sliced green chilli. Chilli chicken is ready now, take it out in a serving plate and serve a hot.
