Chicken kasha

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken 500 gm
  • Mustard oil 4 tbsp
  • Onion 4 ( medium size) sliced
  • Whole garam masala ( 3 cardamoms, 2-inch cinnamon, 1 bay leaf, 1 whole dry chilli, 3 cloves, 4 black pepper seed)
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Black tea tasteless 1 tbsp for colour (optional)

FOR MARINATION

  • A paste of 1.5cm medium size of onion
  • 1/2 tsp of ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt 1/2 tsp

PREPARATION

Step 1

Clean and wash the chicken pieces with fresh water and marinate them with onion paste, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, yoghurt and salt for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Make a paste of fried onion.

PROCESS TO COOK

Step 1

In a kadhai heat, an oil on low flame adds whole garam masala, ginger garlic paste mix it well.

Add fried onion paste and fry it with masala until oil separates, add salt and sugar, chilli powder and stir the masala continuously.

Step 3

Add marinated chicken mix it well and cover the pan and cook it on low flame.

Step 4

Now open the pan and mix it well now add black tea, garam masala powder, cumin powder and cook it on low flame.

Step 5

After few mins switch off the gas flame and take out a chicken kasha in the plate and it is ready to serve.
